Sea Glass Panels
Mary grew up collecting sea glass with her legally blind grandmother in coastal Massachusetts, describing colors and patterns as they searched together. Her grandmother shared memories tied to the glass, making each find meaningful. After her grandmother passed, Mary saw the sea glass as keepsakes. Later, she learned stained glass techniques and began using sea glass and pottery shards in her artwork, letting their shapes and hues inspire her designs. Now living in her grandmother's cottage, Mary collects sea glass with her three daughters, planning trips around tides and storms, and trading pieces among their collections. She is constantly thinking of imaginative ways to combine sea glass and stained glass to create one-of-a-kind works of art.
