Guest Artist Program Overview

Established in 2014, the JUC Guest Artist Program provides local artists from the seacoast area with the opportunity to be featured as a guest artist for one month. This initiative was created to support emerging talent and to give new artists a platform to showcase their work in a public setting—sometimes for the very first time.

Artist Selection and Experience

Since its inception, the program has welcomed a diverse range of guest artists working in all medias. Each selected artist of the month benefits from exposure to new customers, while making only a modest investment.

Program Details and Fees

The guest artist contract begins on the first open day of the designated month and concludes on the final open day of that month. Artists are required to pay a $25 fee upon signing the contract. Sales generated from the artist’s work are shared on a 65/35% split between the artist and JUC.

Promotion and Support

To help maximize visibility, JUC advertises each guest artist’s show through its website, Facebook, and Instagram, as well as with store front signage. Artists may also opt to display a customized banner on the large sign in front of the store. In addition, the JUC team collaborates with artists to ensure their work is presented in the most appealing manner possible.

Please note that JUC is not responsible for the merchandise or for any accidental breakage that may occur during the exhibition period.
